Malteser International has been providing humanitarian relief since 1956. About 30 experts in our headquarters in Cologne and around 120 expatriates as well as 700 to 750 local staff on site care for our projects in more than 30 countries worldwide. We are active in Asia, Africa, in the Balkans and in Central and Eastern Europe in the fields of emergency relief and rehabilitation.

Even if the number of vacancies is limited, we are always very interested in qualified personnel. The health sector is our main field of activity and we’re always looking to fill these positions to work on our worldwide projects:

Country Health Coordinator (f/m)
All programmes/projects aim at building the capacity of both community and government health care providers in the provision of prevention, treatment and referral services. In support of our work in MYANMAR Malteser International is looking for a Country Health Coordinator (f/m).

Medical Coordinator
The Medical Coordinator South Sudan is holding a key position for coordination, training and supervision of all Malteser International health programs in South Sudan. He/she will bring along advanced specific knowledge and expertise and will be technically responsible for TB-HIV, Leprosy, and Sleeping Sickness control. He/she will fulfil his/her duties focusing on implementation of all activities in close conjunction with the South Sudan Coordinator and the Programme Coordinators.

Project Manager (HIV/AIDS)
In Wa Special Region, Shan State, Malteser implements a STI-HIV/AIDS Control project since 2004. A new three year project cycle with a full package of promotive, preventive and curative activities and services has started in April 2007.In support of our work in MYANMAR, Wa Special Region II, Shan State, Malteser International is looking for a Project Manager.

Programme Coordinator
The Programme Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of the programme and ensures implementation of project activities as outlined in the annual log frames and plans.

Programme Coordinator (f/m)
To coordinate our health projects in Ariwara and Mahagi/Province Orientale, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Malteser International is looking for a Programme Coordinator.

South Sudan Coordinator (f/m)
Patients are diagnosed and treated at Hospital level run by Malteser as well as in the Primary Health Care Centres at the community level. A strong focus is laid on building the capacity of local health staff as well as in improving the knowledge of the people living in the communities. Malteser International is implementing its health projects in Yei, Rumbek and Maridi and has a coordination office in Juba.

Project Health Manager (f/m)
The Project Health Manager for Malteser health projects is responsible for the overall coordination, planning and implementation of all medical related activities at the projects location. He/she will fulfil his/her duties in close cooperation with the Program Coordinator on location. He/she is responsible for the entire health project on location including planning, day-to-day implementation and monitoring of all health activities at the Malteser project sites.
