Key Responsibilities:	Overall responsibility of Malteser International programmes in South Sudan Coordinate and manage the overall planning, direction and coherent strategy of Maltesers activities in South Sudan Ensure the implementation of Malteser activities in South Sudan according to approved plans ans budgets Establish and maintain mechanisms/tools and capacities for appropriate planning, monitoring and evaluation of activities Active networking and representation of Malteser International in South Sudan vis-a-vis national authorities, national and international institutions, organisations and donors
Requirements:	Experience as Country / Programme Coordinator of complex programs preferably in the health sector in Africa Excellent communication and leadership skills including the ability to effectively motivate people Strong diplomatic and negotiation skills dealing with partners and authorities Physical and mental strength, sensitivity for other cultures Fluency in English (written and spoken); Proficiency in using standard software packages
Additional Information:	Conditions: Start Date: 1st April or 1st May 2009 Duty Station: Juba, South Sudan, with frequent travels to the programme locations (Yei, Rumbek, Maridi) Duration of contract: 12 months (extendable)
